Price nearly doubled on Arg Steam Store

Well, i´m not the one that usually complains about price on steam, but the game was fairly priced for my region up until last night at ARS$ 1299,00... today, ARS$ 2.199,00.

Not that fair when a lot of people purchased at hald the priced all the time it was available, i know i missed the train, but a heads up would be nice...

Sales from Asian region are from South Korea and Japan mostly.
They know you gonna go to Skidrow/CPY to torrent this game anyway, so they do not care.
The witcher 3 with expansion is often for like 15 usd last week and there is no interest from Latin America/Africa/middle east.
In Russia 30 USD is "pain barrier" for a new AAA game where many Russian will choose to buy a game not to pirate it.

Anyway, it's pretty obvious CDPR is pampering north american players.

Here's the deal though, Gabe Newell went through the very same thing back when he started his plan for Steam to support the Russian market. EVERYONE told him that it was a waste of time because they were just going to pirate the games there.

Nowadays it's the leading country in European revenue in terms of Steam sales. The solution to combat piracy isn't to accept defeat and increase prices, is to create convenience so people have less reasons to pirate. The whole purpose of regional pricing is to get extra revenue from a market that would otherwise just get your stuff for free.

If people were going to just pirate this game in Argentina then none of us would even be here complaining about the prices to begin with. Think about it.

The reason they did this has to do with people complaining about thronebreaker being cheaper on steam than GOG so now we are supposed to get the same pricing on both of their main platforms.

I would think they figured that if the steam price was the same as their GOG pricing (not even sure how they handle regional pricing over there) that would drive more people to buy the game on their native platform.

I figure they figured wrong but what's done is done.

No desperdicies tiempo en él... Este chico piensa que en Latam todos piratean. También el hecho de pagar un precio alto o directamente ni comprar el juego por ser de tercer mundo ya que, según él, no es para nosotros...

Típico elitista. Ni vale la pena responderles.

Si vemos los números no son todos pero 'casi todos'. Lastima pero esa es la realidad. Claro esta deberían mantener el precio recomendado por Steam pero eso es lo único que es, una recomendación.
