GAME HAS DECIDED TO ACT SILLY IN ACT 3

So, I'm in Act 3 and I realized that I had not talked to the Sharran lookout back in Wyrm's Crossing. I decided to teleport back to Rivington to go and find Freg Drogher and talk to him to proceed with the character questline 'The Daughter of Darkness'

But everytime I go back to Wyrm's Crossing and back to The Lower City AND THEN SAVE MY GAME, the game somehow can't handle that and decides to crash every single time. I have tried about 6 times now. I even tried manually going back to the bridge. Does anyone know a fix to this?

Also, I also want to know if I will be closed out from the Ansur's Lair quest if I proceed to destroy the foundry and do the side quests in the lower city?
