Lava wont leave the forge?

After using it the lava wont leave.. and I cant go back up using the button. there a trick to this?

SOLVED: Go to camp and come back. Lava will go away

You find a fix or way out? I"m stuck same thing. Beat Grym went out to get other molds came back and made armor but now lava won't retreat so I can get out.

Takes a couple of long rests and it will go away, it's a pretty common bug. you can teleport back down once the lava is gone to raise the platform.

I just fast travelled out and went back later to get that medallion off to the side.

Save and load the game. The lava will drain but leaves some lava behind so you can't walk on it safely but it still works.
