owlbear help

i found some video about the baby owlbear growing up with an armor or something, 1 is it real and 2 is there something i can do that would ruin it and stop me from getting it other then killing the owlbear cub? because i want it. please don't spoil it too much just tell me if there is something that would ruin it. also is it possible to have him in my team like scratch when it is grown?

It is real, and there are several things that could ruin it. You need Dammon alive until the end of the game, and several things can lead to Dammon's death. Rescue the tieflings at every opportunity; make sure Isobel remains safe and sound; do NOT fight or upset the strange Ox at any point in the game. If you do that, you will get big boi owlbear.

F***, I killed the strange ox and it was quite a while back before I talked to him in Act 2 to fix karlach. Why does the strange Ox change anything for the baby owl bear and what do you mean by upsetting him because I talked to him trying to figure out what was so weird about him in act 1 but it's not like I attacked him is it just as long as I don't kill him and buy him I mean the strange ox that it's fine?

If dammon survive it's okay, because the current bug is the strange ox instantly kill dammon, locking you from karlach quest and chance for dammon fitting your owlbear armor

I killed the strange Ox when it turned back into a slime in one turn and then talked to Dammon. The strange Ox is dead but he is alive and well so I should still be okay right to get the grown owl bear?

Yeah, you're fine. I killed it too. It's just very easy for that slime to kill Dammon, which is why most people tell you to avoid it.

By the way just to make sure as long as I make sure that the thieflings survive, that I have the owl bear cub and that I do every side quest I find should I be able to get the owl bear in armor or is it seriously hidden that I absolutely need to do some things in a specific order in a specific amount of days to be able to get it otherwise I won't be able to?

As long as you have dammon and the owlbear it will appear in finale. it's just your kiddie owlbear pumped with steroid to become adult size owlbear with armor
