Sexual content filters: how to get your point across

It's no secret most of us are uncomfortable with the way the game handles romance and representation politics, and to be quite honest, writing of all of those is not great at all. It breaks immersion, it makes people disgusted, people want none of it in their game while still being able to romance characters they want.

We want sexual content filters. To filter who gets to initiate romance with the player, and decide if you want to experience the ESG representation in the game world and in the story (gnomes, act2 good ending, so on and so forth).

What you can do to be heard by Larian:
- they do in fact monitor social media an other places outside of their forum. So if you voice your dissatisfaction publicly, it will add up.
- "report a bug" within the game. It's a good way to send feedback to Larian in general. Write about your dissatisfaction with content and how you see it being solved.
- there is a designated forum topic about those issues on Larian Forums! Suggestions & Feedback -> Romance trigger and reactivity problems thread.

And remember: do not let yourself be demotivated! Gale being a predator turned out to be a "bug" after all the times you have been told to "just say no".

Never going to happen. Pretty sure they closed all the threads on the Larian forums begging for a content filter because it turned out they were all echo chambers for homophobes and hate speech. That's why the only one that's left is to do with Romance Triggers, they're never going to enable you.

An echo chamber is a place that really only allows one side to have their little hegemony. If they are shutting down threads because people have legitimate concerns, then I would suspect that place *is* the echo chamber. I see the same signs here; people make threads with decent points, but people start shrieking as if every person is arguing in bad faith.

AOC (the "politician") said a few years back something to the effect that left-wing protests are meant to make people uncomfortable.

When people responded by saying they should protest against her by making her and those like her uncomfortable, she called them evil nazi cis-bigot hetero-normative colonizer oppressors etc etc, you know, the usual lefty un-personing language and narrative-shaping.

When you decide to stop screwing around with video games and start making these people uncomfortable irl, you'll start experiencing the social change you're looking for.

Unfortunately, there are zero actual politicians willing to fight alongside you, so I suggest you learn to welcome the queer future, as a small number of people (all of whom coincidentally happen to wear very small hats) have paid a LOT of money to usher it in, with themselves somewhat hidden at the helm.

This is also why Christianity is being destroyed, why people are now allowed to list themselves as a "minority owned business" on amazon (White skin? You're evil. Anything except White skin? You're good), why the left suddenly champions corporations and the CIA, and why reddit has become an echo-chamber of deeply conflicted trans-lesbian men who are all on a handful of psych meds every day.

That's very nitpicky of you, but no. They were closed because again they were echo chambers that encouraged hate speech and homophobia. They had numerous people saying that all Trans and Gay people should be killed, not overtly in that manner but they very much went out of their way to put that point across.

As such, those threads were locked and only the ones where the posts that weren't outright inflammatory and disrespectful were kept to be merged with the Romance Triggers Thread. The mods have warned numerous people numerous times and the majority of it they've had to ban people who were being facetious, disingenuous or rude.

For the little amount I've been on steam, all of the people posting against threads like this have been reactionary because they're tired of individuals like OP who is in fact a closed case anti-LGBTQ+ Homophobe who has on simple examining of their post history, gone as far as to support the repression of any one that comes under the umbrella of LGBTQ+.

As I'm also aware, isn't this OP's !SIXTH! Thread (or Fifth? It's hard to gauge as a lot of stuff gets deleted once a person is banned multiple times) of this exact same nature despite him shifting the context to make it seem different but his overall point is always the exact same thing? All of his previous ones were closed, as I'm aware repeatedly posting the same thread is actually considered Spam because it disrespects Moderator decisions on the Steam Forums.

Although nothing posted here matters as Larian has no Staff Presence here (they made this clear over on their Forums that they do not take stuff said here on board, largely because of the negative rep the Steam Forums have), so nothing that gets posted here... Matters.

Interesting. Didn't you accuse people of abusing the report feature in this forum, in your other threads? You don't think that applies here? I'm assuming you resorted to doing this because it is very hard for you to actually suggest feedback to Larian, which brings me to this:

That's a pretty dead thread. Interestingly enough, I see some familiar names in that thread. I imagine you're trying to stir up activism here because of the inactivity, and because you likely can't comment in that thread, or any thread on the Larian forums.

All in all, this may be the most desperate, disingenuous thread you've made yet. I know these aren't your first choice of words, or even your second or third, and it just adds to the pure desperation. You need to drop this inane crusade and go and do something else. Sincerely.

It’s a single player game. Why shouldn’t the OP have the option to filter out content that makes him uncomfortable? I don’t see why there can’t be better implementation of romance in the game. The way it is now I wish it could just be toggled off completely.

Also, not everyone lives in places where people are degenerates like those in the West. Other places in the world have different standards for what is acceptable. Stop being xenophobic and ethnocentric.

Not a he, and I work in cyber security and track propaganda for a living and write reports and studies on it.

I just happen to like this game and most unusual aspect is that here in this very lightly moderated forums its handful of forum users responsible for an obscenely high rate of this stuff. Its picking up and the global propaganda machine is absolutely fascinating to me, even when I am not getting paid to study the different groups.

They have the option to say no, they have the option to disable nudity, if this game is so offensive to you and whomever you are culturally and for whatever your agenda is, you should not be playing it and you lack the maturity of most 17 years old, who could care less. There are plenty of other games out there, please go play those other games and please keep educating people how to identify PEBKAC issues.
