Ability Score Bug?

I've been having a bug where my ability score modifiers don't see to be applying properly to my skill bonuses. It happens in character creation and also in game. For instance, in character creation, I hit "clear" in the ability scores section and set everything to 8. But the skills menu still shows all my dex skills (Sleight of Hand, Stealth, etc) as having +2. Then I change my dexterity to 16, which means I should have a modifier of +3, but the skills menu still says +2. The skills menu updates when I change the other ability base scores.

Also, I noticed that my character who has a +5 on animal handling, which displays as such in game on my character sheet, only gets +2 when I have to do a role for it.

Anyone else having this bug? I can post pictures of the character creator bug, but I'm not sure how to on Steam.

I am having a simmilar issue in character creation where certain skills arent scaling to my ability score increases for example athletics, survival, and insight dont scale to changes in my strength and wisdom score im not sure what to do about this
