I'm finding text hard to read in game. Are you?
The text seems very small and I'm kind of straining my brain trying to read. Text looks slightly blurred, also.

Is anyone else finding this?

You can adjust the font size and add a black background in the accessibility settings.

There have been many people saying the same thing and wishing for some kind of UI scaling, both in this forum and on Reddit. Here's to hoping Larian adds a scaler down the line. People said that using a controller makes the UI much more readable. I haven't tried it myself since I refunded but could be worth trying for you.

I had slight problem with reading item descriptions as font is smaller, not as smooth and also grey on darker grey background (like devs trying to say, no, don't read this, it's not important at all). And yes I have also feeling that some UI elements are way too small for no reason. Wondering how all this will looks like on console and tv.

What made you refund, if I may ask? x

I don't know about other resolutions, but at 1080p on my laptop I feel like this is going to give me an aneurysm. I thought maybe there was something like, chromatic aberration affecting text? Or maybe the anti-aliasing some how? But no.... this is something they need to fix before I can consider playing this, as much as I want to play it.

I wouldn't call it a game breaking bug, but I would call it a game breaking fact.

The UI automagically scales pretty big when you play with a controller, and its been smooth sailing for me. But like others have said their is font scaling option, but I think the ui is definitely more fine/smaller so to speak for the mouse folks.

I have a Xbox controller which is pretty standard, but mine doesn't seem to work for this game, so I wouldn't know. =/

Ive been using an xbox one controller wireless...i would hope that backwards controller wired or wireless like xbox 360 work.
In another topic one gent said disabling steam input in the steam options helped him solv a different option you could try that....but before even doing that.

1) if your controller is wired plug it in before starting the game
2) if your controller is bluetooth wireless, connect it to your pc before starting the game.

then try. good luck :o

Thanks. Actually I don't know if it's bluetooth. It's just the regular USB dongle thingy. Hmm, I'll try it with cable.

+1 item descriptions, in-game books, etc. giving me a headache. character interactions, word bubbles are fine.

If its a usb dongle its an older old school controller, nothing wrong with that (hopefully)... but its not fully wireless enabled. Just plug that in before starting the game...which Im assuming you already did.

If you did the above and it does not work, then plug in a wired/cabled to the controller for power/control then start the game...

if all of that doesnt work, then try a different controller to see if the UI jumps up. good luck once again 😅
