Real time with pause based combat is a good solution to please the both public
LOL your opinion is funny.
That real time fighting that came up with BG was the cancer of videogaming rpgs, turning them to a gamey hack&slay-like cluster♥♥♥♥.
If you want a RTS game play command and conquer.
Someone's never been to the pen and paper roots of the game.
Also I fail to understand what can be the issue with this game being turn based, provided it's well designed.
lol.
I would prefer real time with paused combat to be faithful to the original games and apply the D&D rules.
Turning it into a real time VS turn based is a waste of time, both a great if executed well.
Baldur's Gate is a not a turn based game, that is all.
I'm glad Larian picked up the BG franchise (played the game back in 1996 or 1995, and i think only Larian or CDPR have the talent and passion to make a great BG3), i love DOS2, i absolutly love it's turn based combat, but i don't want BG3 to be DOS3 with D&D skin.
Who would have thought a DnD game would draw in DnD players?
