I don't think melting wax in a oven would cause a expolsion... and I don't think wether its lit or not would matter.

Try to put alcohol, bleach or explosive thing in the oven, and make food burn inside it..

Simple, methane gas (what is used for most house supplies) isn't explosive. It burns, yeah, but it doesn't go boom, more of a 'fwoosh'. And that is if you manage to get the gas-air mix just right.

Gotcha. I was trapped in a house with a stove on the top floor and sheet-roped down, but I wanted to leave a lit candle with the stove on and send the zombies to a fiery grave. Guess I watch too many movies.

Hypothetically, the fwoosh WOULD burn the zeds, no arguing that. I don't know if it would KILL the zeds, but best case scenario has them all crispy in your burned out kitchen. Worst case is that they're on fire and after you.
