Installing Destiny 2 Verifying content.
After the update for Season of the Deep (AKA season of the DEEP ♥♥♥♥), as soon as i try to enter the game i get this message like the title says and after the check the game says i have to verify the game files or re-install the game.
So i have done that, i've been on the Bungie forums and done everything that i could find related to the issue but nothing worked. Anybody with the same problem?

FOUND SOLUTION. go to:
- C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp
- Look for folder name "Destiny 2"
- change folder name to something like Destiny 2_backup
- Launch the game and it all should be OK now.
Many thanks to the one who solve this crisis :D

Instead of renaming you can get away with deleting it completely since it is temp anyways. No need to rename it. Would recommend just nuking the inside of the entire temp folder as it sometimes builds a lot of junk and doesn't clear itself fast enough.

thank you so much for the fix! I just recently got into this game with my fiance and our friends. After having the verification screen pop up after 5 reinstalls I was really upset that I wasn't going to be able to play anymore

By default, windows hides stuff like that, although appdata should be defaulted too unhidden.
Windows 10:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Windows 11:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Click View > Show > Hidden Items.

Thank you so much man, I was sitting here for an hour wondering how to fix this.

I have been struggling with thus for days and ive tried almost everything. Ive reinstalled to different drives, verified files, renamed the folder, checked for steam.appid, everything. Renaming the folder has usually given me a temporary fix but it just crashes again within the hour.
