Are everybody smurfing?

Hi, first time playing destiny 2 and pvp. Lvl 6 players play like they have 10k hrs in pvp alone. What's up with that, are ppl smurfing? I don't feel like its fair play.

People who play PVP play ONLY PVP.

Pretty much everybody is level 6 rn lmao. Use destiny tracker to check their ranks instead

Well I have that quest and the pvp is insane. First 2 games where like I'm playing against my elo but now it's ridiculous.

Hold up can u explain a bit more? Does the level reset every season or something?
Like I said I'm new and I have no idea. That explains why other players have insane flashy gear n stuff.

Well, unless I have seriously misunderstood something, the requirements for rank 7 include beating legendary lost sectors? For me, and I imagine for a lot of others, this is pretty much impossible.

This level resets to level 6 every season, if you have higher level. To level up you need to do various of tasks, and if you can't level up by playing only pvp

those Are "Guardian Ranks",pretty Much Everyone that over 100k Hours gonna Locked in 6 because they did not Pay DLC to complete the Task To reach LV7 and Above.

Actually, I heard it resets to *5* every season, though I did originally hear 6 as well.

After this first season, I could totally see most people just not even trying to up that number past whatever it gets reset to, and only getting it by accident.

Most PvP mains will be perma stuck on 6, because 7th rank already requires seasonal quest/nightfalls etc. and 8th requires dungeons and raids. 1-6 is basically done the tutorial lols.

1) Ignore the quest telling you to do PVP. Any quest which tells you something like that is not worth doing unless it gives exotics.
2) Yeah, pvp ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.It's very unbalanced and no matter what bungie tries they have never managed to create a viable pvp sand box .Most of the playerbase doesnt touch it unless they are grinding for certain pieces of gear. Those that play it regularily bassically breathe the pvp.

its not impossible just wait for the right one for your playstyle and then get prepared to do avalon on legendary and hate your life

ok I tried competitive now because of quest and it was way way better than the other thing.

just dont bother with PVP tbh
