Why do people even attempt some raids without mic?
I mean I do understand that some encounters don't require team communication but when I'm doing Vog and get 4 people from lfg without microphone trying to do the oracles without any callouts I can't help but to scratch my head a bit. Am I not seeing something? Is this just lfg things? Or is communication simply not that required for oracles?

u can do oracles without calls pretty easy tbh as long as everyone knows their spot u can see when they break in the bottom left so callouts arent really neccesary

Makes sense but it seems these people were not ready for that since we team wiped like 6 times

The problem is that a lot of the time, people without mics also don't communicate AT ALL. Oracles are perfectly doable without mics, if you communicate what to do. But a lot of the times I join a group with no mics at all, half the team doesn't even talk through text chat and don't seem to listen to or understand instructions. They do whatever and the group wipes over and over, until people start rage-quitting.

Even as someone who doesn't have a mic, I prefer to do raids in groups where at least one or two people are using mics to coordinate or even do a ready check before starting.

Exactly. We wiped several times because we had 2 people people doing whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they want (not even ad control) 3 people working on oracles without any sort of communication or cooperation just running around the arena trying to spot all oracles instead of sticking to their areas.

Because people are incredibly stupid. That's really it.

People are just shy or just they don't want to talk.

I ran without mic for 2 months because I don't feel like talking. Either people were annoyed by me or just didn't care simply because I did callouts on chat and KWTD.

There are encounters that don't need communication or rolls that you can do easly. I think as someone know or are eager to listen and learn that's fine.

Note that the people doing that are the exact same ones who want matchmaking for raids or solo modes for them :LaughingGuest:
Didn't try the new raids without a mic but back in the day i finished leviathan and prestige leviathan with Spire and Eater without a mic. It's harder but not impossible, but if the guy without a mic is a dumbass then yeah it's basically impossible

I used to sherpa raids after Destiny came to Steam and i stopped, because people were lying, people were not using mics, not calling out and generally being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Your average blueberry is not cut out for raids.

I used to have patience for newbies, but then a "speedrunner" caused 3 hour long calus dps phase and i had enough.

In my experience, I never join a group advertising KWTD. They are usually the ones that communicate the least (even if they all have mics) and end up making things take longer, while being toxic and blaming everyone else.

True. Or they leave after either 1 mistake which he did not like or 1 wipe without even trying anymore

I always look for chill groups as well if i do a raid.

People were also funnily enough nonstop posting 'KWTD' several hours after kings fall went live..

Probably a fair bit of social anxiety. I run solo always and never do raids or legendary end game because theres no matchmaking for them. I get it with raids given the mechanics and callouts but no matchmaking in seasonal activities on harder difficulties and lost sectors is pretty stupid considering they dont behave like raids and randoms tend to know what to do in those activities.

I grew up in an abusive household and am on the spectrum, as a result Ive been treated like crap and have been used and labeled so many times by people I thought I could trust that now I want nothing to do with socializing with other people. My whole life has been one big lesson of "you dont belong here" or just a use till you're no longer convenient to them and they throw you under the bus situation.

For some people social anxiety is really bad. Like, cant order food at a drive through without planning out 15 different scenarios of the conversation(order) to anticipate complications and hopefully avoid having any prolonged conversation. Heart rate goes up, tightness in the chest, etc.

I love Bungie games and destiny but my anxiety walls me off from other activities because there is no matchmaking in them. Again, raids and dungeons(I assume, havent tried) I get but seasonal activities, optional freelance in trials, etc seems like things that should be allowed for inclusivity as it doesnt effect the those who go in with friends in any way. Still get the usual "this game isnt for you" or "find another game then", I've completed every raid in D1 and HATED every single second that Im in a raid. Id rather do any other activity and its all down to the social aspects. Everytime somebodies friend wants to join our full group Im usually the first to volunteer to drop out because leaving that group is like being relieved of 60lbs on my chest. I did raids for the loot but after enough times if the loot glitching or just being the worst possible drops of stuff I already had I just decided it wasnt worth the stress.

I have played destiny since D1 beta and have preordered every expansion. I have literally thousands of hours in the franchise and came to destiny from Halo 3. So hearing "go find another game" when talking about matchmaking in harder difficulty activities(minus raids and dungeons) just seems like gatekeeping as matchmaking in those activities are a fair ask for inclusivity reasons imo.

Social anxiety isnt just "a little stress", it can be debilitating. Like, would rather suffer and waste away than ask someone else for help kind of debilitating.

Calm friendly groups are no less stressful than intense loud rage filled ones.
