What is a trace rifle?

And where do i get one? It is not even mentioned in the collections. I'm playing the game for one month. Never got any.

A laser gun. I have seen 2, both Exotics. No idea if there are more.

weapons like colheart, i don't think there are legendary trace rifles, all of them seem to be exotic, but they're basically a laser that constantly deals damage

There’s four exotic trace rifles I believe.

destiny 2 only has 4 trace rifles, 3 are random drop and the only quest one is divinity and it requires a garden of salvation finish for its quest so you will need to see a guide

Trace rifles are basically laser guns. Imagine an auto rifle that uses special ammo and... well... fires a laser instead of bullets. There are currently 4 Trace rifles in the game and they are all of the exotic rarity. 3 of them are gotten as random drops from doing basically anything. Just hope you get lucky. However, the 4th one that is called divinity, is gotten from a quest.

I see. I have a bounty that says get kills with a trace rifle. That's why i asked. There shouldn't be a daily bounty that requires a rare weapon to complete it.

Why? It's just a bounty. Just don't do it and get one tomorrow. Exotics are hardly "rare"

aside from divinity and maybe like year 1 coldheart trace rifles are next to useless man. they are fun though

ah yes the first week it was released and crucible turned into laser tag. i miss those times

I liked when coldheart was preorder exclusive lol. It roasted in leviathan. Wavesplitter still does boss damage and if you use it right with orbs of light, especially if you have a mastercraft weapon paired with it, you can do some pretty beast stuff.
