Game is hilarious for French speakers

I play with the game on English but there's still various bits of French here and there due to the fact that the fictional country of Grand Chien is obviously speaking French.

Grand Chien for example literally means "Big Dog". Besides that, I've encountered diamond case holders with hilarious names like "Boko la Merde" (Boko the "excrement") or simply "Connard" (meaning something akin to "rearhole").

I thought that they would ne speaking Creole, but not even. Just French with an African accent. Still a pretty original setting to set a game in, so that's nice.

Creole is for Caribbeans, French Africa speaks French

There's even a villager line in Fleatown that says something like "When the country is named 'Big Dog' expect a lot of big fleas".

Well yeah, makes sense for them to speak French, this place is fictitious but is based on West Africa, which was where a lot of French colonizing took place.

And you get that early in the game, in Ernie there's a bit where a Legion soldier is mad not because someone is writing graffiti, but because they're spelling 'Legion' in the English/American standard way.
