Arma 3
S.O.G Prairie Fire Low Fps dips on higher end machine
Hey guys! I know the DLC just released and there are probably a lot of bugs that needed sorted out still. That being said, the new DLC looks amazing, but I get CRAZY FPS dips, ranging from 80-20 FPS. I also cant go any higher than 85 FPS, on either high or low settings. I run Arma 3 base game at around 120 FPS on Ultra settings, to give an idea. Low settings actually makes the FPS drop down even lower. Not overheating my cpu or anything, so I just really think it is an issue with the DLC. eIf anyone finds any fixes on this, I would love to hear it!
My specs are:
Nvidia RTX 3070
i7 10700k @ 5.1 GHz
16 GB DDR4 @ 3200
1 TB NVMe M.2
1080P Monitor with 144hz refresh

One thing you can do is to drop your shadow drawing distance down. That alone will make a massive difference, especially on any map that has a lot of trees, I always take a massive hit with FPS unless I drop the shadow draw distance down. Can also diable Vsync too.

Same for me. Ryzen 7 3800X, RTX 3080. Nearly unplayable with 20-30fps.

I have the same issue, also when playing vindicta too, I get like 80 FPS and then every 3 seconds it dips to 1 FPS then goes back up and then dips again. I have no idea why this is happening and idk how to trouble shoot. Not sure if bottleneck or just slow CPU.

I am playing on a M.2 for my ArmA install so its def not Hard Drive related.

My specs:

Mobo: Asrock z170 Pro4
16 GB ram (G.Skill Ripjaws V 3000 mhz)
MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Windows 10.

Same thing on i9-10900KF, rtx 3080. Even when settings are on lowest, I get 20 - 30 fps... Other games fine.
Same thing
