Yeah those fps are pretty normal. Your fps depends on the server and the gamemode its running so there isn't much you can do to fix it, except from changing server.

The dev just started doing MP server profiling and optimization. Give them some time, maybe 12-24 months, and the MP FPS may improvre a bit.

I love BI and there titles but the recent problems are really a shame and turn many off to A3 and possibly future games they make (except dayz). I do hope they end up coming out with some patch like A2 that fixes the problems that have been an issue with A3 and then pop out an amazing DLC like they did with Operation Arrowhead. I have faith in BI.

You want playable framerate ? Go into editor, spawn in the desert. LoL

I went from around 18 to arounjd 32 by working with all the settings.
Not saying it made sense, or was logical ... but I did get it to work.

Some time ? You realize this is not a new game right ? Arma 2 had the EXACT same horrible problem.

They said flatout back then "we're not going to fix it, it's too much work" .

Instead they just slapped on some new textures and called it "arma 3" .

This would be more tolerable to me if it was still beta or alpha. Wait two years plus after release to get a half acceptable frame rate on a good rig? That's bad. There's no good way to cut this. The game has potential, and can be fun, but the FPS are a huge deal breaker for me and other people. I'm just glad I bought in when it was cheap, because it was a large disapointment for me personally. The possibility of some real patching in the future is all I look forward too, some better optimization and getting a steady 50 or 60 fps.

But the delivery has been poorly executed. Sorry Arma 3 and fans. I have to speak the truth.
