Performance vs graphics quality
I've been playing this one save for a while now, it's now around 2015 (started at 1850 and set time flow to 1/4) and am now getting between 23 and 55 fps.

I figured I'd turn down the graphics settings from all on the highest to lower, but even when putting them on the lowest settings I'm not seeing any fps improvement. Does that mean it's related to my CPU?

Starting a new game, I get solid 144 fps.

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H (up to 4.2 GHz 8 cores)
Nvidia GTX 1660Ti 6 GB video RAM
16 GB system RAM
Windows 10 home 64.

I do not know what a good answer might be, i think it might be based on the computer doing the calculations on the vehicles and also showing all of them moving on the map. I think it might be similar to Banished, where the game initially is not overly burden with graphics unlike fantasy RPGs, but as one builds, it puts a strain on ones computer.

Btw City Builder, i remember you from other games. :-).

As you progress through the game there tends to be more of everything in the game. People, cars, trains, ships, etc... Each item takes a little bit of CPU time to update. Once the number of items reaches the point where they start to exceed your CPU's ability. The frame rate starts to drop. Adjusting the graphics settings usually has little or no affect when this situation occurs.

you can search which hardware you use most near 100%, cpu or ram, i think that this game is not required high q. of grahpic. I believe that this game requires high CPU, when the cities grow larger, you have best CPU also will become lag at last.
