Fallout-like Ultraviolence
Will the game contain any gore? If so will it be similar to the gore in Fallout 1 & 2?

That's one of things I hope to use EA for. As it is now, there is no ultra violence, no gore. However, you can attack anyone and use violent solutions to quests throughout the game (and have special endings for kill-all/murderer path).

I know that gore and ultra violence was one of the important aspects of the Fallout games, it offered the choice to solve everything whatever way you preferred; and if violence was your choice, it went all the way. In that retrospect - I think I should follow the suit in some degree.

On the other hand, this is a game where I intentionally position combat as the last option. Too many games, especially RPGs have been focusing on combat. It is even their main game loop. While I can understand it, me myself, I feel kind of annoyed that pacifist path is always some kind of challenge and intended gameplay expects you to shoot and kill like mass murderer (srsly, when you complete any Fallout game, you most likely have average hundreds if not thousands of murders to your name). And this, in a way, feels like ludo narrative dissonance.

So yeah, this is a topic I'd like to have external input upon. My personal preference is to keep combat as an option always, but other play styles take precedence.

I understand you wanting to do your own thing. For me the ultraviolence in Fallout makes combat just as satisfying as when you manipulate and convince someone via a speech check. Which imo made the game so much more fun to play, especially since I'm not a big fan of turn based combat.

But if you can make the pacifist route just as satisfying as melting a radscorpion with a plasma rifle and killing kids in Shady Sands, then I'm all for it e.g. The pacifist route in Dishonoured was one of my favourite things about the game, even though I loved the combat and gore, I loved going through Age of Decadence being able to manipulate everyone that I'm the next Messiah and being able to talk down a demon.

Thanks for raising this topic. Juicy combat does not hurt pacifist run at all. If anything, it makes it even more powerful seeing that combat is as tempting option.

Making the deaths of characters visually gruesome would add some weight. If violence is supposed to be seen as a last resort, then it would clearly have some narrative impact; visual impact would only enhance that.
It also does not need to be extremely graphic to achieve that, it can also be things like death animations showing plenty of agony.

This, the best way to make violence feel impactful and as a last resort, is to make it just that, lol. With that, essentially making it an actually emotional event on the player, either through showing a brutal agonizing death(that could scar you for life), and\or by having all NPCs have a 'life' in the game(personality, backstory, etc, where it feels like they live), where their death will somehow impact it(grieving widow, search parties looking for the murderer and\or the deceased(until found)).

Ah, black humour scenes of accidental main hero deaths, just like Space Quest!
We have actually added some critical final hit special animations. e.g. like this:
