How would i break a crimson altar?

I dont have any idea on how to break a crimson altar..using a hammer hurts me.

You can't unless you use a Pwnhammer or higher, and the world MUST be in hardmode

You don't make the Pwnhammer. It's a 100% drop from the Wall of Flesh. And you can use it in pre-hardmode when crafting summons for bosses like Eye of Cthulu and King Slime.

How do you craft summoning items and which bosses can you face in ormal mode? Do I have to craft something specific for the wall of flesh? Also, thank you for helping me. I got the game a few days ago and have no idea what im doing. I won't be doing hard mode for a long time.
