Travelling merchant not appearing at all.

I just defeated the third mechanical boss; I have spent over ten hours over the past couple days in this world. It is large, classic mode, and I fulfill all the requirements for the travelling merchant to appear according to the wiki. He has not come even once.
Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure what I can do.

May be just unlucky random. It's a low chance but possible.

Do you have houses for your NPCs? Or they just wonder around being homeless?

Also if you progress quickly - you should've have a lot of events of different kinds. He doesn't spawn during many of them.

It's definitely not a common issue. My 24/7 local Linux server 1.4.4.9 works normally, merchant spawns periodically.

If you have more than one cities (bases) he can spawn in any of it. So you may miss him. But the chat message would appear anyway.

Hmm I see. I do have houses right now. All NPCs up to the party girl and houses for each one. You're probably right! Thank you for the comment; take care, friend. I did progress quite quickly, so that could definitely be it :)
