Prismatic Lacewing Spawn?
Does only one spawn per night?

-critter book
-summoners
-battle potions
-at least 600 block hallow biome

They spawn between the hours of 9:30 pm to 12:30 am at night.
They share enemy spawn and only spawn at surface lvl.
The trick is, like the truffle worm, to make a literal tunnel system with a ton of enemy spawning buffs (blood moon included for max spawning). But the tunnel system involves dirt blocks and hallowfying it like when growing trees of plants.

Then it's just a matter of killing stuff at high rates and waiting for it to spawn, collecting it, then rinse and repeat. They're rare and enemy spawns can take priority so best to get a high crowd control setup

Actually not sure. Never really noticed more than one at a time. I would assume more than one can spawn, but I cant confirm that.

The main issue is that they only spawn between 7:30 and 12:00.

I've usually had 3 spawning per night, with default spawn rates (not on a Journey world), no battle potion, and with a water candle.

They spawn a lot at night in the hallowed areas. It helps to zoom out a bit because they like flying a little high and shimmer is extremely noticeable in dark places.
They follow the unique enemy rules, meaning only one can spawn per person at a time, but if you catch or kill one, another can spawn to take it's place, and usually does. If you have 3 people in the area, you can have up to 3 spawn simultaneously nearby.

Of course if you kill one, the boss spawns and suppresses further spawns.

Water candles cannot cause more to spawn at once, but can cause them to spawn more quickly once you catch them.

Finally, they make a peculiar noise, not quite like the pixie tinkle. Once you know what it sounds like, you know what to listen for. If you hear it, start looking above the hallow. They usually fly rather high up, well above where the normal enemies spawn.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yeah I've gone with the conclusion I'm extremely horridly unlucky. I've had awful luck getting stuff to drop all game. Especially the Star Fury which is the only item I need for Zenity, and I've leeched several friends for a combined 40 moon lord kills and NO DROP lmao.

This right here is a great post.

If I could highlight this I would. I'm going to use this for future reference definitely. Thank you ^^

choose as answer top right lol

also it works for literally any boss spawn summon or item you may wanna farm (minus the critter book but may wanna keep it incase you run into any rare animals like golden bunnies):

-cell phone parts not including the angler quest items (that use a chest fill with fish a bed and skip time or do something else while you wait).

-akhs shield especially the following items people have trouble with: Bezar, bandage, megaphone, armor polish

-clothier or guide voodoo dolls in hell

-tortured souls to get the tax collector

-blood moon fishing for the blood drop to summon them.

-dungeon drops especially the guns and gun armors from the skeletons

-martian probes in space (just add a railway)

-mechanical bosses summon items (from the wraiths or possessed armors idr which one exactly but they drop).

-rod of discord

-ancient fabrics, sand cores and frost cores (but has to be during a heavy rain/weather).

-rainbow slimes in the hallow

-souls of light/night in the underground hallow and crimson/corrupt.

-truffle worms in the mushroom biome either above or below the surface so long as it's mud

-power cell to summon the golem in the lizard temple as well as the lizard egg to summon a mini flying reptile.

to luck i say ♥♥♥♥ RNG and just grind at a rate of like 50 enemies a min. More people the merrier too.

I actually peeled an ankh charm from an older world. Was doing multiplayer with some friends and we've found several megaphones, bandages, armor polish, and you mean bezoar or nazar?
