The fire boss is too hard. He'll be toned down when we update with episode 2.
With that said, you can definitely do it, just like everyone else has.
Hiding behind the pillar is the easiest strategy. If he teleports behind you, just go on the other side of the pillar. There's a very clear teleporting sound when he does it.
You can kill this boss with any weapon, but if you need a level 2, just a little tip, trap rooms always contain a level 2 and every level has a trap room.

I was negative before, so I wanna say a few really positive things about your game, too.
- I love the Sucker Punch vibe of the game! It's cool that we have a female protagonist, and we don't get to see them be heroically tragic very often.
- I think you strike a really nice balance between not quite rogue-like where you have to start from the beginning, but rogue-like enough that the variety is always fresh.
- The loot system is really cool. The item tiers and mods really keep me engaged, but it's not too complex. Some mods, like blood ammo, really change how items work. The elemental damage is really well thought out, too. It's not just damage of another name. Fire damage is damage over time, so it helps peek-a-boom tactics. Ice is good for slowing down enemies. If you can improve your electric damage, you can lure people into rivers and zap them to hell. I use the fire bow to reach enemies behind fences, since the fire blast can occur over the fence's height.
- Lastly, I became pretty interested in a gameplay choice you made; There's no sandbox mode. You cannot stay behind and over-level or gather more loot, like in Dark Souls. Instead, you made your game like FTL or Dead Cells; the player is constantly pushed into harder and harder content. I think this is a really interesting, because it forces the player to make do with the limited resources they semi-randomly have. This gives the player an appreciation for loot, even common level loot.
If you get the potion duration boost ability, you can save the potion until right before the boss zone.
Go in after grabbing it, and burn him down with the alt-fire of the weapon.
It melts even him.
If he survives, and he could, you shoot him down with whatever weapon you can use.
Also, bow is pretty cool, but I will always enjoy this legendary Double-barrel shotgun that fires absurdly fast. Kills that boss dead fast.
Also, I could be wrong, but I think head shots do extra damage, so arrows into his face work well.
The fight is hellish hard.
That and if you had like a rocket launcher or something, that could help too.
Just lead him on a wild goose chase, and he ends up pretty easily defeated.
