The Hammer Skins

The other day I started noticed a bunch of hammer armor skins in my loadout. I've learned that these are called the dev armor set or whatever. When I select any of those skins, it just changes the skin to brown. I'm assuming that's the bronze hammer skin. Is it a glitch that the other hammer skins only show as the bronze one? I read that you're not supposed to have the set unless you win some contest. I certainly didn't enter any contest for it. So why do I have it? Does anyone else have this set with the same issue? Confusing stuff.

Interesting, I have those, too. Never have I seen them in my loadout before.

I'm thinking it could be something like the spiral troll achievement or the one for playing with one in survival. As far as I know everyone just gets them their first time playing with someone or killing someone whether it's a dev or not. Like an infection achievement thing since it'd be rather difficult to get them like it says.

Pretty sure you get those along with beating insane wave 10, I had them LONG ago. But yeah, they all look the same.

The preview looks the same, but they have different colors ingame when you use them (best to see when you press F1 to go third person view). Same with rainbow and water element skins that you unlock with achievements, where the preview does not show the difference between the variants.

Yeah the preview is bugged and only shows the bronze chrome one. But once in game they actually work.

No matter what chrome one I pick I always look the same, I'd be sporting the pink hammer if it would let me!

And the rainbow vs rainbow glow does change in the preview... It's just a slight glow effect in the preview. But I knew the Water Elemental ones worked, those are my fave!

Try using the hammer ones on the guns.
On the armor it just becomes the glowy thing, or just a mix betwhen gold and brown.
But on the guns it actually becomes proper color. Pink is actually pink!

Ahh thanks! I didn't think that the preview was just messed up.
I'll certainly make use of these now lol

The Previews are Brown. Everything looks the same ingame.

No it doesn't. The previews look the same but in game they work.
