This game has a solid foundation, but it’s ruined by a series of frustrating designs that alienate players. I strongly suggest NOT purchasing this game until significant improvements are made. Although the game has moved out of Early Access and released its official version, the developers claimed that "to fix the data bug, we had to overhaul the entire database structure, which means old save files are no longer compatible." Is it really that hard to write a script to transfer the old save data structure index to the new data structure? They are simply a bunch of key-values, aren't they? From the beginning, the design decisions by the original development team were completely anti-user and counter-intuitive. It feels like the game was developed just to mess with players. After the game was handed over to 2P, there were still no signs of improvement. The interaction designer must have been brought in from a madhouse because here are nine major sins with the game design:

1. The game aggressively recommends using a controller(yep, it pops up every single time you launch the game), but the default key binding is ridiculous. The trigger buttons do nothing, yet picking up items and dialogues are mapped to the shoulder buttons?

2. As an action rogue-like game, you can’t attack while moving. Whether it’s melee or ranged, you’re stuck in place while attacking, which is incredibly stupid.

3. On top of that, you can’t aim with the right stick while attacking. You’re forced to attack in the direction of moving, which is extremely frustrating. Especially, after dodging, your character keeps attacking in the direction of your roll. What makes it even worse, the sloppy auto-aim is a joke and never worked right. Why not let the player aim with the right stick?

4. The invincibility frames during a roll are so short they’re practically useless. You will eventually end up rolling straight into an enemy attack, which just makes the doding foolish move.

5. The UI is a mess. Simple UI menu design that could be achieved with A/B buttons and menu hierarchy, but end up requiring a complex mix of inputs, leading to all sorts of weird issues when you press the wrong button. How many players have accidentally entered combat during the level preparation menu before you are ready?

6. I understand that the death animation might be for preloading the base, but forcing a cutscene every time you return to the base is stupid and tedious. Why do I have to watch my character land in the middle of the field every single time?

7. Mobs attack indicators are often misleading, with prompts that either don’t match the actual attack range or trigger inconsistently. For example, monsters will sometimes attack beyond the indicated area. Such misleading indicators are worse than having none at all, and they become more confusing as you encounter more types and numbers of monsters.

8. After dying and respawning, the game gives you an unnecessarily long bullet time animation. It’s hard to tell when you can actually start re-controlling your character, and by the time you do, you’ve probably already lost half your health in a bullet hell.

9. The game’s optimization is horrendous. Every time I face the final boss, the game turns into a slideshow, and my device fans start screaming.

Don’t think I’m just a complainer who can’t play the game — I nearly finished the game and beat every boss with this shoddy interaction system, right up until they wiped my saves in the official release.

I really feel sorry for this game. It has charming character designs and solid gameplay mechanics. The core game systems are commendable, and the multi-playthrough gives players a lot of motivation to keep grinding. But the game is undeniably ruined by endless small issues. This could have been a popular successful IP, but end up with such a disappointment. I wish one day it will be playable, and I will come back recommend this game.

Lastly, here’s a controller setup that can make the game somehow playable at its current stage: Bind melee and ranged attacks to the left and right trigger buttons, and let the right stick function the same as the left stick.

这款游戏本有着非常好的底子，却用一堆骚操作恶心玩家。在游戏进行进一步改进之前，我强烈不建议购买此游戏。如今游戏结束了EA，发布了正式版。但说什么“为了修复数据BUG我们对整个表结构进行了修改，这也导致了游戏旧版存档无法继续使用”，写个脚本让旧档数据结构ID转移至新档很难么？从最早制作组各种反人类反直觉自我矛盾的交互设计真是绝了，就感觉这个开发团队就是为了专门恶心玩家来开发这个游戏的。移交给2P公司后也没有要改动的迹象。交互设计师更是从精神病院捡来的一样，以下是交互设计九宗罪：
1. 游戏煞有其事的弹窗强烈推荐使用手柄游玩，但是默认按键设置非常反人类，板机键没有任何卵用，但是拾取道具和对话却又是肩键？
2. 一个动作rougelike游戏，却不能移动攻击，近战远程都是站桩打，就非常蠢。
3. 在站桩的基础上，攻击还不能用右摇杆瞄准，只能向左摇杆朝向方向攻击，极其恶心，可笑的是它还带点从来瞄不准的自动瞄准，你会发现翻滚完后，角色会一只向你翻滚的方向攻击，就不能让玩家用右摇杆自己瞄准么。
4. 翻滚无敌帧极短，基本上躲不了任何攻击，一般都是翻滚什么没躲掉，然后直接撞上敌人所有攻击，就显得很蠢。
5. UI界面按键混乱，一个ab键+菜单层级能解决的事，非得参入各种按键，然后点错触发各种诡异问题。有多少人使用手柄在战斗配置页面，莫名其妙就点入了战斗？
6. 游戏死亡动画可能是为了预加载基地我理解，每次进入基地非得播个动画就很蠢很拖沓，我到底是为什么要看他飞到场地中间啊？？？
7. 怪物攻击路径有引导提示，但是不多，触发时机也是很随意，比如说怪会打到提示以外的距离，这种误导人的提示还不如不给，并且这种随着遇到怪的类型越多越让人困惑。
8. 死亡重生会给你一个非常蠢长的慢动作，很难判定什么时候玩家就可以继续操作了，然后就会被敌人的攻击直接打掉一半的血。
9. 游戏优化奇烂，每次打关底boss都卡成ppt，风扇疯狂哀嚎。

我真的为这款游戏感到惋惜，它有着非常讨喜的人物设计和机制玩法。主要游戏系统也可圈可点，多周目给玩家刷图的动力也很足。但确确实实毁在了无穷无尽的小问题上。明明可以大火的IP，真是怒其不争。我多么希望有一天这个游戏能改好，这样我就能改为好评。

最后，提供一些现阶段可以让游戏变得些许可玩的手柄按键设置：左右板机键远程近战攻击+右摇杆也改成左摇杆。

Steam deck performance has issues. The game will run great at the start being almost 80fps with epic and 900p. But once you get far on a level the fps slowly starts to tank. Changing settings won't help at all even dropping to 720p and low. By the end of the first map it will be like 18fps. And even returning to home base the game will still be at super low 15-18fps only restarting the game fixes this. Game is still fun but makes it almost unplayable without rebooting after each run if you make it far enough while playing on a steam deck
