Thank you for updating the game and fixing the bugs. I personally really appreciate that.

However... I also still think the pixelated sprites are better and the option to switch them on would make the majority of Grandia players happy, me included. We all know it is possible exactly because the sprites do appear in-game in their original pixelated form. Please GungHo, consider this. The game looks a lot better and more natural this way.
So I guess you guys have no intention of bringing this port up to the graphical quality of the Saturn version. I don't understand why you're actually patching the game to make more sprites look worse.

The Resurrection Potion visual glitch was fixed at least... lol. In all honesty though, it's good they still work on the game, however little change that may be. The most glaring issue here is that we all know for a fact the game could look A LOT better and it's most probably not even that hard to do it. For crying out loud, you can make the game look better yourself by manipulating some files in the game's directory, all it takes is like 30 minutes and it's done.

Still for me any patch is welcome especially fixing some bugs people had, as long as the bugs are ironed out I dont care

after the new patch, my game doesn't even open, when I try to open through exe in the game folder, it says "XAudio2_9.dll is missing"

I'm having the same problems, just out of curiosity, what Windows are you using, because I'm using Windows 7. Also, I looked it up, XAudio2 is a "low-level audio API that provides signal processing and mixing foundation for developing high performance audio engines for games." ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/xaudio2/xaudio2-apis-portal ), so this is a problem only GungHo can fix as far as I can tell.

I'm using Windows 8.1
I would prefer to have the pixelated sprites and portraits as well. Any chances of us having an option to enable them at some point?

Ugliest remaster ever.

Please, for the love of God, bring back the option to switch to pixelated sprites/textures in the next patch. Just see how they did it with Chrono Trigger - it really helped to turn the reviews around.

Alright so I looked more into the "XAudio2_9.dll is missing issue", XAudio2.9 is in Windows 10 by default, but not any of the early Windows. According to Microsoft's help info ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/xaudio2/xaudio2-redistributable ), a developer has to put a redistributable version of XAudio2.9 into their game files if they want it to be compatible with Windows 8, 8.1 or 7 (that is if they are using XAudio2.9, which I assume Grandia HD is now). Please fix this as soon as you can GungHo, I would really like to go back to playing this game.
