Patch 1 Available Now
Heya All,

Details below for Silksong's first patch (1.0.28497), now live for all players. This one is primarily focused on bug fixes, with some slight balance adjustments in the early game.

Patch Notes

- Fixed situation where players could remain cloakless after Slab escape sequence.
- Fixed wish Infestation Operation often not being completable during the late game.
- Fixed wish Beast in the Bells not being completable when Bell Beast is summoned at the Bilewater Bellway during the late game.
- Fixed getting stuck floating after down-bouncing on certain projectiles.
- Fixed courier deliveries sometimes being inaccessible in the late game.
- Fixed craft bind behaving incorrectly when in memories.
- Fixed Lace tool deflect soft-lock at start of battle in Deep Docks.
- Fixed Claw Mirrors leaving Hornet inverted if taking damage during a specific moment while binding.
- Fixed Snitch Pick not giving rosaries and shell shards as intended.
- Fixed Swamp Squits becoming invincible if hit under water.
- Fixed instance where Lugoli could leave the arena and not return.
- Reduced chance of Silk Snippers in Chapel of the Reaper sometimes getting stuck out of bounds.
- Removed float override input (down + jump, after player has Faydown Cloak).
- Slight difficulty reduction in early game bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter.
- Reduction in damage from Sandcarvers.
- Slight increase in pea pod collider scale.
- Slight reduction in mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench prices.
- Slight increase in rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders.
- Increase in rosary rewards for courier deliveries.
- Various additional fixes and tweaks.

All fixes will apply retroactively, so players who've hit a significant bug that prevents progress should be able to proceed.

Further fixes are currently being worked on for a second patch. If you have an issue and you don't see the solution in the list above, we may be working on it right now.

you guys should nerf everything in the game, it's quite unbearable as it is. every enemy is a damage sponge and many people are having to play the game with mods to actually enjoy it.

PLEASE consider making this an optionable toggle once you unlock Faydown Cloak instead of just removing it. Some of us actually like it and utilize to save double jump.

Thanks for addressing things like losing 2 health mask in early game on having contact damage with normal enemies,mini bosses , having less rosary drop rate , reducing bench prices .

Maybe they don't want you doing that. Maybe that's not the intended experience.

I'm glad you're adjusting early game bosses. Especially since this is supposed to be an entry point game. I sort of feel like act 1 really shouldnt be soo difficult. I'd rather have stared with 3 skulls and 1 damage for everything so when I finally get an extra skill it feels worth it vs no difference at all.

Even if saving double jump isnt intentional id still like the option to immediately float, since some platforming sections are built with that in mind

Yea please keep float override. It's GOOD to have optionality and control over your character's specifics movements. You're taking away movement tech by dong so.

Lots of people think silksong is too difficult to play and enjoy it, but i think it is acceptable. but the money of silksong and chair maybe quite improper, and the HP of the enemy maybe is inappropriate, wait for the next patch.
And finally, we need to change Chinese language translation.

I have an amazing idea, add a veteran difficulty (intended for those who have beaten hk) which plays as the current game does, and the normal one which plays as the beginning being easier, but the bosses leveling out in difficulty at weaver or something. Also please nerf those bird things that are basically primal aspids, and beastlfy.
