no idea about a fix, but i've had the same issue. Happened when I tried to fast travel a few times, and at the seamstress
Seems like it plays the first cutscene fine then any subsequent ones just hit a black screen and fail to load. Have to completely close and relaunch the game to correct it, and then you get to watch one additional cutscene before you have to relaunch again. Unfortunate because i don't wanna miss anything so any time it hits a black screen (outside of fast travel) i have to alt-F4 and reload and play back to where the scene triggered. Tried downloading the xbox version to see if that fixed it but no dice there either.

same here. no clue how to fix. sucks.
I'm in the same boat, noticed it when I would only get to ride the bell beast once

I had this issue and I fixed it. Hopefully my solution works for y'all. I had the exact same problem in Blue Prince (maybe you see the first cutscene you encounter, but the others are black). I went to the Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> (add the silksong executable. (google 'how to find the folder of a steam game' if you don't know where it is)) -> Vertical Sync -> Use the 3D Application Setting. (I also set my game to borderless instead of full screen). My in game video settings are Vsync on, framerate cap off, borderless window (as mentioned). I hope this helps you as it helped me!

I have this same issue, though i dont have a graphics card so the Nvidia solution doesnt work for me. Does anyones know if there is another way to access these settings?

It worked. Thankssss :luv:
I'm having the same problem, but my intro cutscene won't play as well. Tried the above Nvidia control panel solution, verified my files, restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Silksong; and still no cutscene.

It's gotten to the point that when I turn in the spines I'm soft-locked because the cutscene won't play. I was able to skip through the into and bell bug travel cutscenes over the black screen, but now the game won't let me progress.

Hoping I can find a solution soon.

JUST SOLVED IT ON MY END.

Turns out I didn't have Windows Media Pack installed. When I followed the instructions on this video (mine's Windows 10 Pro) and restarted my computer, the cutscenes started playing!

NOTE: This was after I had done the above steps in this forum.
