HP sponges with boring mechanics is one hell of a bad combination for a video game. Torchlight II's higher difficulties get a little bit sponge-y as well but at least it has unprecedented variety in enemy unit types, which makes you have to think on your feet all the time based on the combination of enemies you come across in each encounter.
I guess they had more important stuff to do until this point, but i´m pretty sure the rework will come before the game gets fully released.
I enjoyed this game to a point, but I feel like at least in the early stages, all skills should at least feel decent and not like you could binge an entire season of Supernatural before stuff dies.
I'm sure they'll gently tap the paying players on the head too with a cool 30$ worth* of super cool skins for the game!

i have only 1 railmaster... focused on the train... it s my favorite char i love it.
There will be zero MTX. It always amazes me how much of the community said "Make the game B2P and make a TL3"... then flips to "I have to buy the game?! what?!" It's early access, they're still actively trying to adjust / improve the game. I'm guessing a lot more people will be playing when there are no more wipes planned.
