i did eventually get past it. i could find no method that worked consistently. i have a question for you as im wondering if its related somehow. are you over leveled? i messed around a lot and grinned a bunch to try and see if there was a max or if the levels really impacted things so i'm like 15 levels higher then even the higher level i saw in any lets play doing this part. so i was wondering if there is some binary roll over like glitch effecting what trigger this jump height. for the record it seems there is some kind of max damage no matter your level you can do in many situations as it was taking just as many hits to kill some things as people with vastly lower levels then me. so not worth the grind i also hacked the game a bit to boost my level even further and even then almost no impact on killing. the only benefit i the increased health but some ennimes seem to do damage based on percentage as they increased how much damage they did

edit checked my lvl its 65 if your wondering lol was not joking i pushed the game to the limit lol sadly only advice i can give is to come back after giving the game a break for a few days and see if it works

just kept trying over and over re launched the game twise gave up for a few days tried with controller and key board gave up for a few weeks and came back and did it immediately. had to do it two more times each time i got stuck but never for as long was easier each time. i feel like there is some varible effecting it but i dont know what. i think it might be me being over leveled. as i was way higher level then anyone i saw in videos do it. it did not feel like a timing thing to me but it is supposed to be about timing.

I think it has something to do with the level of your character. I tried for 40 mins straight and couldn't do it. I leveled up ONCE and now i did it after 3 jumps.

i think it may be a case of binary roll over. if thats true then staying as low level as possible would avoid the issue starting once it starts leveling up would eventully fix it but could take 1 to a 100 levels to ix and currently no way to tell how many levels

I have made the jump after trying a lot. Only thing i got out of trying so much is that if you hold the jump button and charge the sword you can lower your jump. And VERY RARELY this helps with the jumps (like 1 in 200 jumps). This section of the game was pretty bad.

im guessing you have never played a platformer level has nothing to do with it
I had the same problem when I played on a 2560x1440 screen and it was completely solved when I switched on my laptop with a 1920x1080 screen. The height of the jump on the mushroom came back to normal.
if the jump uses pixles to measure that could be the cause. if you have a save there could you run a few tests just at different resolutions.see if any are drastically easier or harder?
