Sadly the demo was distributed only through a Kickstarter campaign, which ended a little while ago.

when the game finally launches will the demo be made available so people can try it to find out if they'd like to buy the full thing?

Well, not this one of course :D We will think about preparing one, but only if we will have time for it. We are a small studio, so making a new special build is quite time consuming. No promises, but we will evaluate the option.

How about optimization on PC? At 1080p on High settings, with what hardware it'll work smoothly?

We are still running the specs and optimization is ongoing. We will update the the required and recommended specs on Steam page before EA for sure ;) As for now I can say that you won't need a RTX graphic card for high settings.
