My take on Counter-Strike 1.6

I've been playing CS 1.6 ever since I was very young when my sister introduced me this game and been playing it non stop back then. Lots of hours into cracked CS 1.6 copy since I couldn't afford it back then (Plus I was a kid you know).

The more I grew the more I switched to other games and newer CS titles like Source or GO (That was the moment I began to make myself my own cash) and eventually decided to finally buy 1.6 on Steam and ho boy I've missed it but after coming back from newer titles , 1.6 didn't spark the same fun in the classic gamemode (bomb defusal) with how it did back then , probably because I got used to newer games but the amount of sweats or the ones who can abuse the in-game commands to make themselves have as less recoil as possible or everybody doing all the gameplay glitches , trying to abuse them at their best became irritating for me , especially that now almost all 1.6 servers have double jump and REVIVAL....

Admins are no better for most servers too , especially my countries servers (Romania) are filled with butt hurt admins that the moment you one tap them out of pure luck or skill , they will accuse you of cheats , request you to drop your stats on idk what side forgot its name and will spectate you for a long time trying to see if you're cheating. Now I don't blame them either since right now 1.6 on steam servers can also be played by cracked users which even myself sometimes don't trust the non-steam users one bit , especially when they play super cracked and sweat left and right into an game that doesn't even have a ranking system.

Most servers now a days are boring too , lots of them filled with trash and over the top mods that kill the actual artistic style of the game (Zombie servers to be more specific). Lots of gamemodes forgotten into the dust and some still ran by abusive admins.



I love CS 1.6 and I will always love it to the end but the now a days state of it for me is an mix of depressing and fun.
