Patch 1.021b is out!
New update is out.

The biggest change is for players using 4:3 aspect ratios. All stages have now new paths for this ratio.

-Sound effect when a tower is upgraded.

Fixed:

-Gold on stage 5.
-GUI bottom: power portraits no longer reset after pausing the game before the first wave is called.
-GUI bottom: heroes with ranged attack show their ranged attack damage instead of melee damage.
-GUI bottom: soldiers respawn time.
-Quickmenu doesn't open if you have hero selected and click a build terrain.
-The Juggernaut's area attack.
-Typos in various tips.
-Ingvar's death sound.
-Typo in stage 3 campaign text.
-Typo in stage 5 campaign text.
-Wave tooltip for stage 12 iron challenge.
-Tower overlay no longer shows if you select hero with the spacebar while your mouse is over a tower.
-Hero and upgrades balloon on map don't scroll with the camera in 4:3 aspect resolutions.
-Lightseeker's Courage ability applies correctly to Sylvan Elves.
-Sylvan Elf Tower sprite atlas.
-Hero tip showing on challenges with heroes not enabled.

Please stop posting al those updates! It makes me only sadder that I'm not able to play the beta.

I personally feel that there is too little gold for some of the heroic and iron challenges for the first 4 or 5 stages. It seems the player has to play most of the campaign stages first, then come back to the heroic/iron challenges when they've upgraded their skills.

Is it intentionally designed this way?

Fixed:

-Viking Ancestor no longer spawns a husk in the Rotten Forest's swamp.
-Selecting reinforcements no longer breaks the game.
-Treants no longer keep spawning from the ground after Greemuck is dead.

How does the difficulty compare to the flash and iOS versions? Is it hard, normal, easy, or something else completely? I feel like the gold you earn on a given stage here is more limited than on iOS.

The difficulty should be similar to iOS on normal.
I'll make sure to check the gold given by every creep.
