That cover art
Just wanted to come and say it's fantastic, great drawing and color selection, and gives a phenomenal 80's science fiction vibe. Congratulations to the artist, who's him?

Also I think the game could look way better approaching this kind of color palette and saturation instead that rather pastel tones you're using.

I agree so much with everything you said OP. One of the best pieces of official art I've seen for a game, any game (although that might be fair in NA with all the head-down-eyes-up we get.)

There's actually a poster for sale on their website, by the way.

Thanks guys! The covert art came from Sam Cube, who also created the official Minecraft poster. Here's his website:

And yep, if you'd like to buy a poster:

That's a 50s vibe to me, but the in-game geometry can't keep it up so while it is a cool image it doesn't jive with the game. I think going towards a Streamline/Art Deco look, e.g. the 30s, would give a little more freedom given what you've got to work with. This is doubly jarring when you consider the palette, the monochrome and tone on tone looks are much easier to pull off in the 30s - if only because much of our rememberance of the 30s predates widespread color photography.
