A "Steam release" - or rather their attempt for free advertising on Steam because they have nothing to offer any other publisher besides EA's milking of this title into the dirt - had been effectively abandoned the same day they posted it and received skepticism that (contrary to BS Games' pretenses otherwise) they were anyone else but the same people responsible for the continued decline of UO and DAoC and the abomination that was Dungeon Keeper Mobile.
