Spintires - Unofficial Vehicle Wish List (EN)
Welcome to the "Unofficial Vehicle Wish List"

I want to use this discussion to draw attention to the needs of the players. So that the dev's and modders of Spintires may begin to understand what vehicles players may want in this game.

Now before we begin. I would like to layout some rules so this thread stays fair and fun for everyone to participate.

1. No Begging, No Spamming, No Flaming
2. Have fun, and try to list as many details and specs for your Vehicle.
3. Please limit your list to 3 vehicles.
4. You may post 2 links to each vehicle.
4. Follow posting format below.

Vehicle Name:

Vehicle Specs:

Why you like this vehicle:

To kick things off I will start will 2 of my favorite prime movers and 1 heavy semi.

Specs: ENGINE 525 HP 12V71 Detroit Diesel/ 200,000 lbs CAP. PLANETARY REAR AXLE/ TIRES 1600 X 25/ GROSS WEIGHT 55,280 lbs/ GCW of 900,000 lbs

Why?: This thing is just a beast. An American brand beast at that. This was a solution to moving near impossible loads of the Early 60's and 70's Mining and Drilling boom.

Name: Kenworth 963

Specs: Please see link

Why?: Its can handle nearly all terrain and conditions.

Name: Mack Titan

Specs: Please see link.

Why?: I loved these trucks growing up as a child. They have a reputation for being a really tough truck.

Again respect the rules and have fun.

Omg F*** those useless american trucks. They would get stuck in bowl of soup. This game is mainly for heavy soviet army trucks during soviet era crawling through almost non driveable terrain. There is lack of this machinery in games. Why would they ruining this game with any other trucks totally useless in heavy terrain. Please make requests of trucks which fits the game.

MAN TGS 18.480

12.419 cm³ , 353 kW (480 HP) at 1900rpm, 2300 Nm (1050–1400rpm)

Why? I read that Spin Tires will be a game where you can haul logs. And because i don´t want to see only Russian Trucks.

Nice posts guys. I love both of those trucks. MAN TGS has got some serious power, and its low RPM powerband makes it great for climbing steep logging roads. The Volvo C303 has approved military use, as well as a Dakar Rally win for its class. Making it a proven All-Terrain-Vehicle.

Vehicle Name: Oshkosh M1070A1 HET

Vehicle Specs: engine - Caterpillar 700hp 18.1L, 8x8, top speed - 50 mph, curb weight - 45,500 lbs. (20638 kg), payload - 140,000 lbs. (64,000 kg), length - 30 feet 2 inches (9.19 m), width - 8 feet 6 inches (2.59 m), height - 12 feet 1 inch (3.68 m)

Why you like this vehicle: it's huge, it's monstrously powerful, and the US military uses it to haul their largest armored vehicles. What's not to like?

HET, is easily going to get the job done. With the single speed transfer case grades just wont be a problem, unless their vertical ; ) I'm also a big fan of Allison Transmissions, they really put the torque to the road.

Ford CL 9000, Growing up when I was 4 or 5, these were a popular truck in my area. I liked them as well due to their unusual look. And from what I've been told. They are a joy to drive.

Love the TGS, favorite rig hands down. I'm sure about it for off-roading, but it would do quite nicely with a Palfinger crane for loading logs. Some other vehicles to look at might be the Unimog series. Great offroad, and they leave plenty of style options open to fit the game, with old military units with the frontloader/backhoe combination being fairly common on the used military market.

How about an old school russian workhorse?
MythicSoul Oct 25, 2013 @ 10:47am
ZiS-5, why not. It has a cheap and reliable design. It was also one of the first Trucks exported from russian, so not only was it a battlefield innovation, but it was also an economic innovation. I also like the ZiS-42 variant, Half-Tracks are awesome.
I personally would LOVE to drive russian or german tanks from the near past like BRDM2, BMP3, T72 (f.e. from the russian side) or Leopard 2A4, Spaehpanzer Luchs A2, SpaehWagen Fennek (german side).

For example:

Vehicle Name: Spähwagen Fennek

Vehicle Specs:

Why you like this vehicle: Was a commander of this vehicle in german army

An old school Tatra seems like it would fit this game perfectly, not sure how many Czech trucks were imported to russia, but they would be right at home in Spin Tires.

Great idea for a thread. Having the right vehicles in a game like this is a big part of success, we will be paying a lot of attention to what people want.
