Who knows what calamari means here?
I wonder, out of everyone who has seen this item, how many of you know what Calamari means in what language? I do :)

It is the scientific name for squid, pretty much. Oh yeah, it wa originally from Latin

Calamari, when used in a similar fashion to that, is fried squid. The meat comes from the main part of the squid, not the tentacles. And it is very delicious.
