I'm under the impression it's only the first 4 factions of the game that will show up at release, the merc/sycrah factions will be expidited to come out much faster then they would have because of funding from the kickstarter, just not day 1.

if i remember right since it is funded they are planning on making its availiabe on day 1 of release

no the explicitly said they would be releasing with the four prime factions then adding the others. If you look at the wording only Protectorate and Cryx explicitly say they'll be available at release. They said that they set their schedule to allow them to get out the extra two factions on release date if they made the stretch goal, but didn't want to push back release any more.

So that means they'll show up as free DLC for backers, possibly paid for non backers, possibly just free all around.

ok you are right :) i went back and reread the kickstarter blog thing they send out it said " soon then later" damn i was hoping to play them at start but whnatevers i am truly happy to have them as a playable faction at some point in time

Yeah; hitting them as stretch goals just means that they'll be put in earlier than originally planned.

I have a bunch of the minis, and never got the chance to play it, but the art sytle and feel of Ret was by far one of my favorites.

also hitting the stretch goals make them free to anyone who donated at the $20+ level when the additional factions release
