Stats
I think this weapon should poison targets somehow:
+On hit: Posions target.
+Posion deals 5 damage per half a second.
*Posion can only be cured by health packs, resupply lockers, dispensers and Medics.
*Only half a second posion per syringe but effects stack. Meaning the longer you shoot, the longer the targets posioned.
-Posion can not be mini-crit boosted, unlike afterburn or bleeding.
-10% to 20% damage.
And also either to prevent spamming:
-50% syringes per clip.
OR
-10% slower firing speed.
I think its fairly balanced.


EDIT: I found a new idea:
+Posion spreads across all enemies nearby the posioned target except for Pyros due to gas masks. They can still be injected with the poison and spread it normally though.
+Item set effect: The Medic can not be infected in any way.

Why it can't just be:
On Hit: Bleed
-50% Clip Size

You didn't need to write that whole freaking paragraph about poison

I certainly approve of this suggestion. Nothing too complex and no extensive additional mechanics introduced, 'tis quite simple and fitting; it could add a bit more of a support aspect to the Medic. Although a tertiary mouse3 fire could be interesting, it'd need to be very well-executed and balanced.

well i guess if you make the clip longer like 25- and poison dmg every 2 seconds it should be balanced

as similar to my outbreaker/... toxic... medigun stats

-poison: poisoned targets get slowed 3% for every 10 seconds they are poisoned up to 33%
invulerable targets/cloaked spies cant get poisoned
medics can heal poison away and healthkits can too

on hit, target is poisoned for 11 seconds (yes 11),>time is stackable
-25% firing speed
syringes fly farther and faster by 20%
-75% damage

these stats make it important to stick with your team, yet while being offencive

Hmm... Maybe Ubersaw vs. enemy medics?

Pros:
Drains a Ubercharge from a enemy medic by 1/2 % per hit.

Cons:
-75% (to 10) / -62,5 (to 15) clip size
