I want this game, and I stubbornly use only Linux. So Linux support would have at least one (other) sale.

How many sales does it take to justify the developer time of porting?

Would a second kickstarter (for not-Windows porting) be viable?

Sorry for the late response - I didn't notice the discussion.

Linux is planned post release. I intend to support it but at the moment have to focus on releasing first. The game is build with cross platform in mind (written in C++ and OpenGL compatible) - so its almost guaranteed, only matter of time.

Understood on the post release Linux support. I am, however, also a stubborn (and avid) supporter of Linux gaming. Once the Linux port is released, i will be buying....THAT day.

With that out of the way, the game looks absolutely beautiful. It looks like it took a lot of inspiration from Homeworld, which is a huge plus since it is one of my all-time favorite games. I always thought homeworld would have been even more fun if I could pilot the craft.

Lastly, is there any plans for multiplayer? I loved playing Homeworld multiplayer, and this looks like it would be even funner.

Yes Homeworld was a huge inspiration - so was flying those awesome ships :)

Multiplayer is planned post release at some point.

Glad to hear Linux support is planned, I too look forward to buying this when it becomes available. Gotta keep supporting the Linux gaming community!

OSX support as well? IF it works on LInux, surely you can give us Mac users some love.

I'd certainly give it my best attempt - so a "can't say 100% cuz nothing is 100% but I'm pretty sure its going to happen" type of a deal.
