Nvidia 3D Vision
I hope this works well with Nvidia 3D Vision, I would play this in 3D if it does. I'm a sucker for games with 3D levels and cardboard cutout characters.

Hm. I wonder if other devices such as occulus rift could be used to create similiar effects? I've not had much experience with either device but the more support the better.

Hey there,

As excited as I am for the Occulus Rift, I'm not sure that the device would benefit our game much, due to the lack of freelook 3D camera, but I hope I'm proven wrong if I get the chance to try it one day!

And regarding the Nvidia 3D Vision, I'm not entirely sure if we need to specifically support the glasses, or if it just enchances any game you play with it. We are developing the game in Unity, and therefore are at their whim to large degree if we can support something or not.

If it is easily supported, and adds a lot to the experience, we will certainly consider it!

Some games just run well with 3D Vision and everything displays properly, others can be fixed. Usually it's just problems with shaders not displaying properly and or at the wrong depth.

I'm pretty sure I've seen posts about Unity having stereoscopic 3D support, 3D Vision, before. There's many people that'd say it doesn't add anything to the experience or it's just a gimmick but I've spent pretty much the whole last year gaming in 3D, it adds a sense of realism that you just can't get any other way. Just like binaural, or three dimensional, audio gives a sense of depth and realism to sound, so does stereoscopic 3D.

In a FPS, like Dishonored, it's literally like looking through a window into another world, in a game such as yours it would look like the characters are toys sprawled across a table top. It's quite immersive if it's setup properly.

Very cool, thanks for the info. I'll reach out to Nvidia and see what we can do!

I'd say you're better off reaching out to the guys over at 3D Solution Gaming, maybe they could do a 3D preview of the game for you and possibly point you in the right direction as far as fixing any issues that arise in stereoscopic 3D. Like I said some games just work well, Luminesca works really well and it's a Unity also. Good luck with it. :)

+1 for 3D Vision support! There are actually A LOT more people interested in the game and 3D Vision than are writing here;))
