Gaijin overcharges EU players
when Gaijin opened the store for the EU players, something didn't felt right with the prices
after the initial inquiry they stated that the prices included VAT

after some discussion on the forums[forum.warthunder.com], it became clear that Gaijin overcharges EU players up to 28% (on top of the VAT) compared to the prices for RU and US players pay for shop items/packages

so far, Gaijin has not replied to this issue

They also have economic balance issues, and especially regarding how the repair system works.

The game is good, from a basic standpoint, but once you dwell deeper into the game systems you start to see a bit of suspicious stuff.

Like for instance, why do you have to pay 700 eagles for a Boomerang Mk 1, to unlock and buy a Boomerang Mk 2, if both are premium planes?

There are spikes in repair fees from rank 4 to 5 planes and onward, balance between ranks is unnerving because f2p players will definitely hit a brick wall, and it seems like it was designed for that to happen.

If you have 4-5 planes at rank 4-5 and you are out of free repairs, guess what?
A f2p players would lack the crew levels to invest in repairing skills, hence will have to use 1-4 hour repair timers PER plane. Or pay 10,000 credits to repair them instantly.
You earn 10,000 in a good game on Arcade, which most majority of the players will play, including f2p players. But also suffer a loss of 10,000 credits or more.

In a sense, currency calculation and balances DO NOT work very well at open beta, which they need to price carefully.

The eagle cost is cheap in standard compared to other mmos, BUT! The game has a higher learning curve and requires a minimal investment or hundreds of hours before you can get over such a wall.

That is to say, Gaijin may also spike the cost of premium eagles after open beta, so it's not $3 per 500 eagles, which can buy you a plane most of the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they raised it to 5 dollars per 300 eagles later on.

If Gaijin thinks they can trick game analysts, think again.
Also, the Russian standpoint of economical systems, does not and will not match the ones in NA, do not price stuff at odd prices or set things because said continent doesn't earn them well enough.

Plus, in a few Eagle purchases, Xsolla had strange rates going on.

In my 1st week, it was a lower cost in conversion for the eagles, then the next week, the cost increased?

cheaper? not!

while a month of premium account in WarThunder is 12 Euros, the same month of premium cost little under 10 Euros for World of Tanks

For two completely different games. You do know one (Warthunder) has planes, with tanks and ships to be introduced later, while the other (World of Tanks) has tanks, and that's it?

No... hes saying War thunder will have planes AND tanks AND ships all player controled in the same match. while WoT will be stuck with its engine that cant handle all 3 in the same game.

That's Gaijin for you. Fair warning folks, these guys are rip off artists. There are complaints being filed, and possible lawsuits coming their way for their heinous busines practices re: Star Conflict. Those who purchased premium products in SC logged in one day to find the gear they paid for either gone, or changed into something complely different from what they purchased.

I've played both games, and I'm seeing/hearing about similar trends here in WT. I recommend NOT buying anything from these crooks.

Go over to the Star Conflict forums and have a look. Particularly the thread titled "DLC for beta?"

Be very cautious folks!
