Airport terminal module (Glass)

A Modular terminal building i made for myself but wanted to share with the community.

Yes its funcional.

As this is my first real hand made asset and i love airports naturaly it had to be airport related.
Its loosely based on the terminal module by ron_fu-ta.

Main model is 7k tris i kno alot i was stunned aswell but works well on my system and its mediocre.
Texture is 2048x2048 propably could be smaller but well iam still learning ^^

Around 300tris
Texture 256x256

The lights dont stay on all night they switch on and off, if you kno how to fix it pls let me kno.

I modeled and textured in sketchup so i didnt really pay attention to tri count at all until i wanted to upload it to the workshop by then it was a little late

But ill keep in mind what you wrote,and try to incoporate it from now on.

7k triangles is indeed a lot for an asset like this one. You don't have to model every last detail. In most games, a lot of details end up being incorporated in the texture itself. You can further reduce the amount of triangles by cheating a bit. In most games, the vast majority of models have polygons which go through other parts of the model. Ledges are typically created using this method. A simple square ledge going around a square box takes 44 triangles when modeled as a single object. The same ledge modeled with polygons going through the square box takes 24 triangles.

Yea i tried that didnt look so good.

The color jump from main model to LOD was way to visible.

Altho if it bothers you guys that much i guess i could do a white lod

LOD : If grey textured change to white may be better.
