Advertise if you think there is something strange, different, or funny about your map!
Strange, different, or funny map, and only a few have played it? By different I don't mean just tough to solve... In example I liked the one someone made with a picture of Mario made from gels, it's unique.

Please feel free to try the maps even if you don't have any. Please try each other's maps if you do. Please let us know what ones you tried, even if you don't have any specific comments to make.

Here's mine:

Just a bit strange. Gesundheit!

The sequel is out! It is stranger and funnier!
What's taking so long, did you fall in?
I can't even believe I made this map! So go ahead and do your "duty"!
Keep the jokes vague, like I did with certain censored PARTS on this.

BASKETBALL ball court room.
Possible to complete without portals.

SKATE OR DIE OR PORTAL! is a 2 minute race map not a puzzle, try following the course and doing it using only four portals, but only stepping through a portal once.

I loved Weirdville.
Here's a pretty new concept:

Already building other new concepts like timed pistons and even some remakes. Look at my shared files if you want to see some of my ideas. More things coming soon.

Also a pretty funny and possibly annoying chamber.

Don't torture yourself.

Played both your maps Salsander, liked 'Don't Torture yourself' best. It is both annoying, then funny when I finally saw what I was missing.

The other concept is good, but a tutorial style isn't needed. I would only use one variation per map, mixed in with your other tricks. Thanks for trying mine!

I have two more but I am trying to improve my basketball themed one, the balls don't land on the buttons well enough, so I had to add cheats to get it to work!

Here is the other if you feel like trying it.

I have been creating mazes that I find to be different and enjoyable.

Thanks silent_trigger, I tried Test Chamber 5 and really enjoyed it. I had thought about making a maze myself, but so far have done other things instead. Let me know if you try Wierdville.

You can't get more strange, different, or funny than my two DooM levels:

They use the actual DooM textures, sounds, and levels, and don't use any Portal 2 textures*, so you can't get more different than that. The second level is the most funny, but the first is the most different (since it has no "puzzles").

They are also good for people like silent_trigger, who like mazes.

* OK, technically I used the moon ground texture for the ground of the 3D skybox, but I don't think that counts.

I can confirm that Carl's Doom levels are some of the most unique and oddball Portal 2 maps out there. And extremely well-crafted, from the perspective of someone who both played and created Doom maps back in the day and could still run E1M1 in his sleep. :)

well i have added more mazes to my collection. i find them all to be quite strange and not the norm for portal 2 test chambers. i hope you enjoy them and do please tell me if your able to finish. i never know if someone gives up or actually completes my test chambers.

The Doom Levels are Great Thanks carl.kenner.

silent_trigger completed test chamber five, chose that one because it seemed medium in difficulty from the screenshot.

Made some improvements to one of my maps:

Possible to complete without portals, but hard. Of course cheating is a sports tradition! Get a good seat for the "after show".

I've been doing a lot more work in Hammer lately, and my latest level I think qualifies as both "different" and "funny" in one very important way: GLaDOS is in it. :D

I've spent a lot of time indexing all of the GLaDOS sound clips in the game, filtering out the ones that are noticeably plot- or co-op-specific and sorting them into categories such as intros, ad hoc insults, demotivators, contempt reactions, and such on. Based on this work I think I've been able to integrate her into this map in a way that doesn't sound forced or out-of-place.

Breaking and Entering

The actual puzzle is not especially complex; this is largely a trial run I used for learning how to make GLaDOS speak, achieve a number of dynamic effects, and refining techniques for making "destroyed" test chambers.

Played both of Ykredfield maps. The Pick and choose map I like the left side, the right side is a bit too much just trial and death over and over until you find the correct path.

I must be missing something on the other map, couldn't complete it. Liked the entrance chamber alot. Need a little hint on which direction to head in the main one.

Don't forget to try any or all of my 3 maps. If you want to be critical, tell me how the Basketball one is. Is it too glitchy to be fun?

I think my other two are better. I will definitely play anyones that comments on mine.

Mine involves turrets in observation rooms. If that isn't funny enough, they run Aperture now and if you find the door, you can explore Aperture! I even included a walk through! Do try this, it took me an extremely long time to make.

JAZ, were you referring to mine when you said you weren't sure what direction to head? If so, hint: follow the cube. :)

No liked the humor in yours, but didn't need hints, no it was The Flying Prisoner that Yrkfield made.
