Why can't Valve add every Greenlight game on Steam?
I was just wondering, maybe it would get out of hand? No idea.

It would become like XBox Live Indie Arcade. An ocean of crap, an entire category of Minecraft clones, any decent game would be buried under all that and get no exposure.

Do you know how much garbage is on Greenlight?

If some people want the less popular stuff, they can't get it because it isn't being greenlt. Thank you though.

You make it sound like Steam's the only place to get these games. They can probably still get it on the maker's site.

Valve says it's due to limited resources (bandwidth).

People can already buy most of the games posted on green light if they so choose. You just have to buy them directly from the devs or deaura.

Greatest thing about PC gaming is that is an open market. Devs don't have to go through big companies (like Sony or Microsoft ) to get their games to people.

the convenience steam offers is unsurpassable...and thus the pressure.
Bandwith? The should get a few google fiber accounts...

They can get it through other channels/distributers most of the time. Humble bundle, gog.com, desura or devs own website.

So less a case of "can't get it" and simply just "I don't wanna...". It's hardly a good enough reason to open up the flood gates and let the vast dregs of Greenlight spew onto the Steam store though.

Falcoware, that's why.

They can get it somewhere else. Steam is for real games, not game maker garbage.

Even games that get greenlit seems to take ages to get into the system, sounds like their servers are about to get ♥♥♥♥♥.

This is because the majority of games on Greenlight haven't been finished yet.

That is actually the games developerss fault. even if the game is finished and available elsewhere the devs have to intergrate steamworks and things and any deleys are on their table.
