Edit: you also have two Blender tutorials using my exporter listed.

These are not random TF2 fan sites. All of these sites are pretty big and it would be nice if they were added so they can all get some additional help running these community services. I can think of many ways to reward my users for purchasing in-game items. Thank you.
Item creators and map creators already get their share. Big teams like NaVi get their share in Dota 2. I think from VALVe's perspective It just makes a lot of sense to keep rewarding those who are creating great content and making the game even more popular.
Just look at the amount of traffic the sites above receive. teamfortress.com is ranked 12091 on alexa. I think it says a lot when some of these fan created sites are extremely close to the real, official game site that already has an incredible amount of content, including the wiki.
Personaly, I would love to be able to team up with an item creator. It could be as complex as something like the "map stamps" or could be as simple as something like a community crate. Get an item "themed" to one of these popular community sites. And as a bonus, earn special privileges for owning that item on each specific community site. I think the creators of these items would be quite happy...
Cgtuts has been a great resource for me to learn how to make content for games and such.

Definetely, these guys help immensely with all aspects of Blender Modelling, which I am learning from right now.
For his smd importer and exporter tools.
It would be very cool if we, valuable contributors, could edit the text to add more links to our stuff : I made a steam guide for the TF2 imports tools because lots of people added me to have more infos (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=148063940), and i'm working on more guides in the future. Or maybe even write that we don't mind being added on steam for various questions regarding our "range of expertise" :p
We encourage you to add that information to your profile. If you have some edits to your description, please send them to the Valve person who contacted you.
