Can't upload vpk: Error code 37?
Anyone know why it won't let me upload my campaign? I go to upload the vpk and i keep getting a failure message after about 10 seconds saying "Failed to publish file. Error code: 37".

I've copied your bug report into the bugs list in Workshop Beta group to let developers to know about it.

I found a partial solution. I renamed my vpk to something else and now i get a different error saying i dont have enough steam cloud storage space even though my map's only 355mb.

Ignore that, it still has error 37. Though the file won't upload it still stores locally in the appID foler and so the new error message received when renaming is about lack of space in the steam cloud but that's because it sees the two differently named files as seperate campaigns. So, once i deleted the original version and cleared the steam cloud i still get error 37.

There is a 200 MB file size limit for the workshop.

Yeh, i just worked this out thanks to the help of another mapper. I believe this was the issue.

Any news on this error? Still getting it after the capacity increase for the cloud data. Bumming me out.

Althought the total capacity for any 1 person is now a maximum of 2GB, the maximum size for any individual file is currently 200MB. So, if you have your campaign in a vpk which is 380MB for example, you need to split that vpk in to two vpks so that neither one is more than 200MB. You can see how to do this here http://www.l4d.com/blog/post.php?id=9756 (near the bottom of the post). Attempting to upload a file greater than 200MB gave me error 37.

Roger that Wyld. Although I thought the size limit was removed as well. Example: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=121076963
The size exceeds 200MB.

See post numbers 73 and 74 here> http://steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2WSVB/discussions/0/828925849153449824/#p2

They discuss how the limit is 200MB but some files that are larger seem to have slipped through somehow. Generally though 200MB is the limit and it seems error 37 is related to exceeding this limit.

I've got a ~150MB concert mod I've been wanting to upload, but I'm getting Error 37. I'm not exceeding the limit or anything, so why the error?
Wyld Stallyns 4 Jan 24, 2013 @ 2:15pm
Not sure. I'm just assuming error 37 is related to file size because i no longer got the error when i went under 200mb. it might apply to more than 1 fault.

Probably. Might be my upload speed as well, it's been pretty bad recently.
