Titan Building Question: Shield and Weapon Banks
Hey all,

Could someone briefly explain how these features work (or if they work yet) in the titan builder?

Banks are still an experimental feature. We think it can make for more dynamic Titan fights, allowing the player to find patterns in Titan attacks that they can exploit. If you have any thoughts about them (ways to improve, a different direction to try, whatever), please let us know.

At a high level, banks allow you to define what features of the Titan are 'on' at a given time. Each bank gets an even time period to be active. So if there are 3 banks and the period is 5 seconds, the sequence will start over every 15 seconds. If something (weapon/shield) has a bank checked off, it will be active during that time slot. If it doesn't have that bank checked off, it will be inactive. More specifically:

On the Titan tab of the editor, there are three options:
* Weapon Banks - The number of banks on the Titan as a whole. These are numbered, and it cycles between each bank sequentially (looping back to 1). Any banks numbered larger then this are disabled and ignored elsewhere.
* Weapon Bank Period - The time (seconds) that each bank is active before turning it off and moving to the next bank.
* Shield Banks - The banks that the whole-Titan shield is active. When on, the Titan cannot be damaged. So far, I've found this most useful on multi-Titan maps. We may eventually want to make this a per-piece or per-piece-chain option.

On the Pieces tab of weapons, there is a Weapon Banks option that works like the shields. Any time a weapon is active, it is allowed to begin firing. If it is not active in a given bank, it cannot start firing, but it will finish firing (this is only important for the Laser Dish and possibly the Pattern Shooter; the others fire instantly anyway).

On a new Titan, there's only 1 bank, the shield is always disabled, and all weapons are always on. If you changed Weapon Banks to 2, then half the time the weapons be allowed to fire, and half the time they wouldn't. If you then selected some of the weapons and set them ON for bank 2 and OFF for bank 1, you would always have a sub-set of the weapons firing in each bank, but never all at once, etc.

Hopefully that clears it up? I'm going to try to cover this in one of our Twitch streams, so there may be a more visual explanation coming.
