Independent Games Festival 2013 Finalists
Congratulations to the finalists of IGF of 2013!

As some of you may know, all finalists, ranging "from Excellence in Narrative to the Nuovo Award, will get a distribution agreement for Steam should that be a path they would like to pursue."

While some of these games are already offered on Steam (FTL, Little Inferno, Hotline Miami, Intrusion 2, Super Hexagon, and Thirty Flights of Loving(please correct me if I missed out on any others)) it will be interesting to see some more interesting and recently accredited games on the Steam service.

While this news does not have a lot to with Greenlight, I figured I might as well post this on the forums because it does relate to indie games. Hopefully, we will see a couple of these games in the future.

I am a little fuzzy on the detals(some of the language in various articles says "a chance to accept" where as others say "will be able to accept").

From what I understand however, "every single Main Competition finalist in each of the jury-voted categories - the Seumas McNally Grand Prize,(et al.) and even the Nuovo Award - can work directly with Steam to bring their titles to PC, Mac and Linux." So yeah, Incredipede does have a chance to work with Steam to bring their title to Steam.

Would be interesting if Valve would comment about the finalists.

We'll have a bit more to post soon, but as the igf news says, we'll be offering distribution agreements to the finalists. Some of the games don't have a desktop version (some are only mobile for example), so those may not be able to take advantage of Steam distribution unless they want to create a version for PC.
