Overpowered?
I just downloaded this mod, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/44167/?tab=4&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D44167%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D1153932&pUp=1

And, the armor is found under iron, and can be made with same materials, weighs 29 pounds less, and is basically steel armor. Is this considered "Overpowered" for the beginning of the game?

It's a nice looking mod, I would use it. If it's equivalent to steel armor, but does not require steel ingot or steel perk to craft, then it is *slightly* overpowered. But steel is still low level armor so I would not worry about it much. If it bothers you, then don't make any until you get the steel smithing perk.

I edited it pretty heavily to be more akin to that of leather armour, however weighing more. I took out the mantles (WAY too overpowered, like an exploit, lol). The Heavy version is now more like iron, although slightly more powerful, it weighs more, and less expensive.
