$$$ For a very simple Mod
I'd like to commission a mod that changes the house population from +10 to +1. Bonus if you can choose to make the house 4x the size of the current house.

Why would I want this?

This simple mod would make land valuable. In many games, you can end up with large plots of land that hold little tactical value and your core production areas can be rather small by comparision.

This simple mod would bring a whole new dynamic to the game by limiting a players population by how much land that player controled.

As I said, I don't have time to make this mod myself but I would be willing to pay someone to contribute it to the community.

Cheers to all!

Draco, let me know if you want to take it on. I'll pay a fair price.

Just an FYI- House population is currently +5 (except Incas who get + 10).

Did you just learn what "mod" means? Good for you. Regardless, his original post is incorrect in saying that the house population is originally +10.

You are correct, my mistake. Also, if you read the thread title, I specifically asked for a mod (which is short for modification.)

Anyone looking to make some quick cash? I will pay well for a mod that reduces a house to +1 population and extra if they make it the size of a barracks or university.

Regarding changing the houses size:
I suppose you want the graphics fitting the new size too?
That would mean there would be graphical work be needed beside just editing the games mechanic (dat file).
In that case, you would have to redo them for the new size, or to enlarge the images - what would mean a loss in details.

Here's the mod that reduces house capacity to +1 population for the base game for all civs:
In addition, if you want this for AoF, I have a created a version that adds +1 capacity for all civs except Incas, who receive +2 capacity for houses, to preserve their 2:1 house capacity advantage:

As I don't have experience creating new graphics, I haven't done that part. Ozhara brings up good points as the house would need to be either recreated or enlarged (resulting in pixelation).
